Adam G.
Key Private Bank Market Leader
Interview
What do you enjoy about the work you do at Key?
I’ve been in the financial services industry for almost 15 years, and Key allows me to help clients in a way that is deeper than I could do at other organizations. Key Private Bank provides our clients with what I believe to be the best client care model in the industry. It is the reason that I moved my career here. We surround our clients with seasoned professionals who carry the highest accreditations. It makes me proud to work for an organization that offers our clients a level of expertise and service that is second to none.
What is leadership like in your department?
Leadership is supportive and gives me room to breathe. Guidance is available where needed, but the experience that I bring to the table is respected as well.
As a Relationship Manager, I collaborate with a team of professionals that provide advice and planning for high-net-worth families and individuals. It is my belief that our clients' goals are best realized when they have a team of highly-experienced professionals working for them who specialize in specific areas impacting our clients' financial lives. So instead of working with one financial advisor who tries their best to handle all areas of need a client might have, our clients have me as their Relationship Manager bringing together a custom-tailored team of specialists for their specific needs. Because of this model and leadership, I have room to approach the business in a manner that works for me and our clients.
How has Key contributed to your career development?
Key has offered me the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders in a well-respected financial institution. I have had the pleasure of being asked to contribute to pilot programs and idea-generating initiatives.
I have the support of my manager in my pursuit to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). This accreditation and these advanced skills will help further enhance my relationship with clients and peers.
These kinds of opportunities allow me to work with others outside of my typical environment and expand the breadth of experience that I have.
