KeyBank supports organizations and programs that prepare individuals for thriving futures. Our Community Sponsorships and Community Grants focus on serving low- to moderate-income individuals, families, and communities. We offer two funding opportunities:
- Community Sponsorships
Funded by KeyBank, Community Sponsorships support an organization’s fundraising efforts through events or general support. KeyBank seeks to sponsor local organizations so they may further their mission and deepen impact. - Community Grants
Funded by KeyBank Foundation, Community Grants support organizations and invest in programs that align with our funding priorities and advance equity, fostering positive change in the community.
KeyBank Foundation
KeyBank Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization that was founded in 1969 and is funded by KeyCorp. Our mission is to focus on improving lives by supporting organizations that align with our three funding priorities: Neighbors, Education, and Workforce.
Neighbors
Our neighbors grants are designed to create safe, healthy, affordable, and inclusive communities with thriving family homes and small businesses. Programs that align with our neighbors priority support community and economic development.
An increase in residency length and a decrease in foreclosure rates
Improved economic inclusion with community members accessing banking services and products
An increase in home values and in the number of small businesses providing services and products to residents
The launch of more small businesses with an increase in job creation
Education
Our education grants help students in high school and higher prepare for fulfilling careers by providing access to quality education and support to help them achieve academically.
Improvement in GPA and standardized test scores gets students ready to succeed.
Our grants ensure more students than ever have access to financial resources for education.
We work to improve college enrollment and retention rates.
We stand by our students throughout their education as we improve graduation rates.
Workforce
Our workforce grants help adults develop the skills, knowledge, and capabilities they need to succeed in current and future employment opportunities.
Our grants help improve graduation and certification program completion rates.
With financial assistance, employment placement, and retention rates increase.

We support programs providing opportunities for economic success to low- to moderate-income individuals, families, communities and small business owners and entrepreneurs. We seek to help build communities where prosperity is widely shared and barriers to advancement are minimized.
