For more than 20 years, hundreds of teammates have volunteered to help local nonprofit organizations provide low- to moderate-income (LMI) wage earners with free tax preparation services and assistance in determining their eligibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
The event known as Super Refund Saturday is a cost-effective way for local tax filers to navigate the tax preparation process and receive their EITCs when eligible. The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a refundable tax credit for low- to moderate-income working individuals and couples, particularly those with children. It is a benefit that thousands of Americans don’t even realize they qualify for, leaving the much-needed refunds unclaimed.
