Interview
What has your Key career path looked like?
I’ve been with Key for 23 years. I started doing data entry/customer service work, worked in the branch network for 17 years, and more recently decided to try something new—Mortgage. Key is big on promoting internally and my desire to move to a new department was well-received. The training is great. I get to sit down with seasoned MLOs and shadow them. Helping people find their dream home is really exciting!
What do you like most about Key’s culture?
Three things:
- I have so many friends from many different backgrounds and I’m so proud to work for a place where we respect each other and people can feel comfortable being who they are.
- I like that we do things the right way and are responsible—focused on what is best for our clients and for our industry.
- Key continues to grow. Taking our Mortgage services in-house has made a difference in our speed and ability to serve clients.
Tell me about your team . . .
I like to think we are a fun group. Everyone gets along. Someone is always raising their hand to lend a helping hand or go the extra mile to get things done. Also, I can’t say enough about my boss. She is always there to help. If I need something, it gets escalated and I feel heard. My input has actually led to policy changes. I’ve never experienced that with another employer.
Key is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
