Cain Brothers Experience
James Conahan is a Director focused on public finance transactions for acute and post-acute providers. He joined Cain Brothers in 2008 and has exclusively focused on healthcare capital markets transactions with prior experience as a member of Cain Brothers’ Underwriting Desk and Special Products Group. James has participated in financings for acute care and senior living providers that utilize the public municipal bond market, private/alternative lenders, commercial banking loans, and government insurance programs. In this capacity he has helped healthcare borrowers achieve new money project funding, obligated group formations, debt portfolio streamlining, acquisition financing, and debt refinancing. Since 2012, James has served as investment banker, arranger, or financial advisor for more than 30 transactions totaling over $3.5 billion in aggregate par amount.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining Cain Brothers, James was an intern at Citigroup in the Firm’s Derivatives Settlements Group.
Education
James graduated from Monmouth University with a BS in Finance.
