Court Houseworth is a Managing Director focused on mergers & acquisitions and capital raising for clients in the payers, payer services, and risk-bearing organizations industry. Court joined Cain Brothers in 2004 and has over 30 years’ experience advising both public and private companies in a variety of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions, as well as valuations and nonprofit conversions. His notable transactions include the sale of Steward Health Choice Utah to University of Utah Health Insurance Plans, the recapitalization of AbsoluteCare by Kinderhook Industries, the sale of Steward Health Choice Arizona to BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona, the recapitalization of CareSource by Welsh Carson, the acquisition of Care1st Health Plan by Blue Shield of California and the lead left $1.45 billion financing for Vision Service Plan’s acquisition of Visionworks.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining Cain Brothers, Court was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers, responsible for that firm’s Managed Care practice and was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns, where he was responsible for the Los Angeles Corporate Finance Group and that firm’s West Coast healthcare investment banking practice.
Education
Court earned a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
