Summary
Preferred Home Care of New York and Edison Home Health Care have been acquired by Help at Home, a leading national provider of in-home person-centered care. The transaction closed in April 2022.
Cain Brothers was retained by Preferred and Edison as their exclusive financial advisor to assist the Companies through the sale process. The Companies, which share common ownership, were sold to Help at Home through a single process and transaction. Cain Brothers’ deep knowledge of the home care industry, including the universe of potential buyers, was critical in identifying the right partner to support the next phase of the Companies’ growth. Akin Gump acted as legal counsel to both Preferred and Edison on the transaction.
