Proceeds from credit products will be used to support inventory needs and to finance facility improvements. Whittaker Cars and Trux, a used vehicle store located in Central Square, NY, has been operated by Billy Whittaker since 1997. In January 2021, Whittaker purchased his first franchise dealership, Whittaker Ford in Williamson, NY. KeyBank Dealer Finance successfully closed Senior Secured Credit Facilities for Busam Ford Lincoln in Wilmington, OH. Proceeds from the facilities were used to assist with the purchase of Bill Marine Ford Lincoln and to provide ongoing inventory floorplan financing. In addition, KeyBank provided a full suite of treasury services to support the dealership's needs. KeyBank acted as Sole Provider on the transactions.

Busam Motors was founded in 1909 because of an unexpected meeting with Henry Ford. While Ford was traveling through Ohio, he experienced car trouble, and Joe Busam Sr. fixed Ford’s vehicle. This encounter ultimately led to a relationship that allowed the Busams to establish the first Ford dealership in Cincinnati, OH. Since then, the Busam family has owned and operated numerous franchises over the years. They currently own Busam Subaru and Busam Nissan along with the recently added Busam Ford Lincoln.

KeyBank successfully closed $83 million of Senior Secured Credit Facilities for Honda of Seattle and Toyota of Seattle. The proceeds from the facilities will be used to support inventory needs and mortgage refinancing. In addition, a revolving line of credit will provide flexible access to capital. The pivotal aspect of the transaction was KeyBank’s ability to quickly secure fixed rate financing for commercial real estate along with providing a comprehensive overall lending package and seamless transition. KeyBank acted as Sole Lender on the transactions.

Owner and operator Brad Miller grew up in Boise, ID, where he worked in the car business at his father’s dealership. In 1986, with the help of his partner Tom Nicholson, Miller purchased a Honda dealership in Seattle, WA. In 1991, Miller acquired a Toyota franchise in downtown Seattle. With an eye to the future, Miller began construction of a new six-story dealership facility in 2013 to house both franchises. In 2015, the project was completed, and the dealerships relocated to their new 400,000 square foot facility. In 2017, the property was awarded LEED Gold Status.

In May 2022, KeyBank Dealer Finance closed on a financing package with Jeremy Day and Great Falls Subaru in Great Falls, Montana. The package included floorplan inventory financing, commercial real estate lending for the acquisition of the dealership property, and a suite of banking services to support business operations moving forward. KeyBank offered strong terms and structure as well as experience and insight in navigating the buy-sell process.

KeyBank successfully closed a $8 million Floorplan Line of Credit and $1 million Term Loan for Ellensburg Chevrolet DBA Windy Chevrolet. Proceeds from the facilities will be used to support inventory and long-term financing needs. KeyBank acted as Sole Lender on the transactions.

Ellensburg Chevrolet DBA Windy Chevrolet is the latest dealership acquired by Henning Automotive Holdings. In 2011, Henning Automotive Holdings opened their first independent dealership and have since continued to expand their organization by opening two independent stores in Kennewick, WA and Moses Lake, WA and acquiring franchise dealerships Walla Walla Chevrolet and Walla Walla Nissan.

KeyBank successfully closed $47 million of Senior Secured Credit Facilities along with Treasury and Merchant Services for the all-new Seattle Jeep, Seattle Chrysler Dodge Ram, and Seattle Hyundai dealerships. Proceeds from the facilities will be utilized for vehicle inventory and commercial real estate. KeyBank acted as Sole Lender on the transactions.

KeyBank recently closed $13 million of Senior Secured Credit Facilities for Russ Hubler Ford. Proceeds from the facilities were used for floorplan financing, to acquire real estate, and to assist in the acquisition of Don Meyer Ford, newly renamed to Russ Hubler Ford as part of the Russ Hubler Automotive Group.

Russ Hubler Automotive Group's owners Russ Hubler and Howard Hubler have a combined 60+ years of automotive experience and have owned and operated multiple franchise operations. Russ Hubler represents the fourth generation in a long line of successful new car dealership operations in the Hubler family.

The Gilchrist family’s automotive roots date back to 1927 when James Gilchrist opened REO Motor Car Company. Stephanie Gilchrist-Legary and her cousin Nick Gilchrist are the fourth-generation owner-operators of Gilchrist Chevrolet Buick GMC and the new owners of Gilchrist Chevrolet of Port Orchard. KeyBank and the Gilchrist family have shared a long relationship dating back to 1956. KeyBank products and services have supported the many changes that have occurred over that time span. The partnership has evolved and strengthened through working together to ensure mutual success.

KeyBank successfully closed a Term Loan, Floorplan Line of Credit, and Commercial Mortgage for BMW of Ridgefield, located in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Proceeds from the facilities will be used to support inventory needs, acquisition financing, and real estate financing. KeyBank acted as Sole Lender on the transactions.

Keeler Motor Car Company is a family owned and operated dealership which opened in the spring of 1967 and continues to serve the Greater Capital Region as a six franchise dealership group. Keeler recently partnered with Washington, D.C. based Open Road Capital to purchase BMW of Ridgefield. BMW of Ridgefield’s 50,000 square foot campus features a state-of-the-art showroom, service facility, and vehicle delivery center. This flagship center has won the coveted Center of Excellence award for outstanding customer satisfaction. Based on 15 operational criterion, BMW of Ridgefield, was selected along with 30 other stores out of the 388 retail centers in BMW’s dealer network, to receive this special recognition.

In November 2021, KeyBank Dealer Finance closed on a financing package with The BMW Store located in Cincinnati, Ohio. For the past four decades, The BMW Store has built a community often not found at what you would consider – a car dealership. For owner C. Thomas Schwartz, it was imperative to share his enthusiasm for the BMW brand with others, benchmarked with an incomparable customer experience. That methodology continues today.

The BMW Store has grown to over 100 employees and 90,000 square feet of building on 8 acres including 2 two-story showrooms and 35 service bays.

In June 2021 and November 2021, KeyBank Dealer Finance closed on two financing packages with the Tim Short Automotive Group based in Kentucky. The packages includes floorplan financing to support inventory needs for three of their companies, as well as term debt financing. KeyBank offered superior terms and structure, which allowed us to add a significant new client and grow a relationship to support additional financing needs. In the third quarter of 2021 KeyBank successfully closed $15mm in floor plan finance credit facilities for United CDJR, LLC. This Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM franchise was an open point located in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to credit, KeyBank also provided a full suite of depository, treasury management and other banking services to support the dealership's needs.
