As I always say, this internship is just your way in the door. This internship is how you get into KeyBank it's how you learn about KeyBankan d the rotational program is where you really grow into the person you want to be.

So, I started at Key as an intern in the summer of 2021. That was an amazing experience. Upon that internship, I was offered a full-time offer upon graduation. And then the benefit on top of that was I received another internship in the spring of 2022. And I feel like that helped me tremendous in preparing for my full-time role. And honestly, I can say if it wasn't for that internship, I wouldn't be where I am now as far as preparation and being prepared to be a full-time analyst.

So, the initial thing that attracted me to Key was our diversity, equity, and inclusion. You know, when I was looking for a company, let alone a bank, that was very important to me. And just speaking from my internship and it makes me feel good about being a part of a bank that really emphasizes that.

I was surprised to see that most of my office building is windows and there's always teams getting together at different spaces. The great part is in our meeting spaces we have these massive TVs and whiteboards that we're also collaborating and working with. Something that Cleveland offers that's so different than other areas is there's so many young people here that are always out and about. There's the restaurants, there's East Fourth, there's the sports teams, there's Playhouse, tons of museums, but there's always something to do.

The number one thing I liked the most about my internship was that my manager and my team believed in me. They didn't just give me intern roles or intern responsibilities, they actually treated me like an analyst. I wasn't just given like assistant work. They actually gave me projects and made me do presentations to show to VPs and managers.

If you want to be a part of a bank that really has an emphasis on driving innovation, has emphasized on building you out as a better person, not only professionally but personally, I would say KeyBank would be your home and they've done a great job so far and I can personally attest to that development.

What to expect

The majority of our interns become full-time employees. Recruiting for both the internships and the full-time analyst program positions begins in the spring for placement the following year.

Overview

Key is dedicated to training and developing the next generation of banking professionals. Our immersive internship programs offer 10.5-week paid, hands-on, mentored experience that is in-depth and geared to provide insight into actual career roles, so that you can go back to the classroom with a better idea of what you want to do and what you are most suited for.

Intern to Analyst

For the majority of students, an internship with KeyBank has led to an analyst position after graduation. Our intern-to-analyst offers, and offer acceptance rates, exceed external benchmarks. 80% of 2021 interns received an offer to return to Key.
