Employee Medical Leave
Unpaid leave when an employee is unable to perform work duties due to a non-work-related injury or illness for seven consecutive calendar days and is unable to perform work for Key or any other employer.

Maximum of six months.

All Key employees, excluding on-call employees and those whose standard weekly hours are less than 20, are eligible during their first 90 days of employment.
|
Short-Term Medical Leave (STML)
Paid leave when an employee is unable to perform work duties due to a non-work-related injury or illness for seven consecutive calendar days and is unable to perform work for Key or any other employer.

Maximum of 26 weeks per occurrence.
If the STML maximum period approaches, the employee will be contacted about eligibility for Long-Term Disability benefits.

After 90 days of employment, all Key employees, excluding on-call employees and part-time employees whose standard weekly hours are less than 20, are eligible for STML benefits unless otherwise mandated by state regulations.
Employees who are not actively working for Key or on an approved absence immediately prior to the date of the disability are ineligible for STML.

Parental Leave
Paid leave for the employee to bond with their child within one year of birth, adoption or foster placement.
|
Maximum of ten consecutive weeks per event to conclude within 12 months of the birth, adoption or placement.
May not be taken intermittently.

All Key employees, excluding on-call and part-time employees whose standard weekly hours are less than 20, are eligible to apply for Parental Leave. Employees must be employed by Key as of the birth, adoption or foster placement of the child.

Family Care Leave
Unpaid leave for reasons covered under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and individual state law requirements.
Leave is unpaid; however, employees may be required to use PTO or sick time in certain cases.

Maximum of 12 weeks in a rolling 12-month period.
Maximum of 26 weeks for military caregiver leave in a 12-month period.
Other maximums provided under state law requirements may apply.

An employee is eligible if he or she has been employed with Key for at least 12 months and has worked at least 1,250 hours in the past 12 months or meets other individual state law requirements.

Military Leave
Leave of absence to allow employees to fulfill military obligations in the uniformed services.
Employees may be eligible to receive differential pay for a period of time under certain circumstances.

The length of the leave is not limited provided the total absence from work during your employment does not exceed five years.

An employee who has established military obligations when hired or enlists in military service while employed and is absent from work because of service in the uniformed services.
|
Personal Leave
Unpaid leave to allow for flexibility in meeting personal obligations. Personal leaves are considered voluntary time off without pay from your position and are granted at your manager’s discretion based on individual circumstances and business needs of your department.

Maximum of six months.
|
After six months of service, all full-time and part-time employees.
