Zelle is an easy, fast way to send or receive money within the KeyBank mobile banking app and online banking. With just your recipient's email address or U.S. mobile phone number, you can send money to almost anyone you know and trust with a bank account in the U.S.

Any KeyBank Customer who’s enrolled in Zelle can send money through Zelle with their personal KeyBank Checking Account. Zelle is not available for Business Accounts.

You can send, request, or receive money with Zelle. After you've registered, simply add your recipient's email address or mobile number and the amount you'd like to send or request, and review and add an optional note, and hit "confirm." In most cases, the money is available in minutes.1 To receive money, just share your registered email address or mobile number with a friend and ask them to Send Money with Zelle®.

Zelle allows you to send money to almost anyone you know and trust with a bank account in the U.S.1 You can send money directly from your mobile banking app or in online banking.

Zelle is a great way to send money to family, friends, and other people you are familiar with such as your personal trainer, babysitter, or a neighbor.

If you don't know the person, or aren't sure you will get what you paid for (for example, items bought from an online bidding or sales site), we recommend you do not use Zelle for these types of transactions. These transactions are potentially high-risk. Neither KeyBank nor Zelle offers a protection program for any purchase or sale conducted using Zelle.

KeyBank does not charge any fees to Send Money with Zelle®. Your mobile carrier's messaging and data rates may apply. Inquire with your wireless provider for more information.

Register for Zelle in KeyBank's mobile app or through online banking. Open online banking or your app, select Send Money with Zelle®, and simply follow the steps as prompted to enroll and get started.

To Send Money with Zelle®, simply select your recipient from your mobile device's contacts (we recommend selecting your recipient’s mobile phone number if available, or use their email address), add the amount you'd like to send, review, then hit "confirm." In most cases, the money is available in minutes.1

We reserve the right, at any time and in our sole discretion, to impose limits on the amount(s) of money you may transfer over a certain period of time. If you attempt to make a transfer that exceeds your limit, your transaction may be rejected. Your current daily dollar limit can be found by contacting customer service either through the chat feature on online banking or calling 1-800-539-2968 (dial 711 for TTY/TRS). There is no daily or monthly limit on the number of transfers you can make, as long as your respective monthly dollar limits are not exceeded.

To receive money, just share your email address or U.S. mobile number with a friend and ask them to send you money with Zelle. You'll receive a payment notification once the money has been sent. If you've already registered your email address or mobile number, then you won't need to take any further action to receive your money directly into your bank account.

Money sent with Zelle is typically available to a registered recipient within minutes. In some cases, it may take between 1 and 3 business days from the time a new recipient completes registration with Zelle to receive an initial payment. This is a security feature of Zelle designed to reduce risk and protect you whenever you're sending or receiving money. Once that payment completes, that recipient will be able to receive future payments faster, typically within minutes. If it has been more than three days, we recommend confirming that the person you sent money to has activated their Zelle profile and that you entered the right email address or U.S. mobile number. If you're waiting to receive money, we recommend confirming that the sender entered the right email address or U.S. mobile number.

When you use Zelle with KeyBank's mobile app, you get all the same security standards you've come to expect from KeyBank, while allowing you to realize the convenience of sending money from your phone.
