When you visit a branch to open an account, we'll need to verify your identity for security purposes. Here, we'll tell you what to bring when you're opening an account in a branch.
What to Bring with You to Open an Account in a Branch
Whether you're opening a bank account for yourself or a joint account with another person, you'll need to provide personal information about the account owner or owners including:
- One valid form of primary identification, like a driver's license, valid passport, or government-issued ID with photo and signature.
- If applicable, a check or cash for the minimum opening deposit amount or more.
- If your address is different from the address on your ID, you'll also need proof of address, such as a utility bill.
Additional Information Needed
We’ll also ask for other identifying and contact information, such as your phone number, date of birth and email address.
